Abstract

The thesaurus on atmospheric pollution, published in September 1973, was initiated and directed by the CITEPA and prepared by a cooperative effort of the main French organizations involved in study and documentation of atmospheric pollution. The thesaurus consists of a large number of French terms (2500), standardized and arranged, representative of special fields of interest and information needs relating to atmospheric pollution -- pollutants, sources of pollution, measurement, dispersion, means of prevention, and effects of pollution -- in their technical, economic and legal aspects.
