Abstract |
The purpose was to ascertain the legal theories under which pollution of groundwater is policed in Rhode Island. The author suggests legal theory to preserve the quality of the state's groundwater resources. Studies in the field and state records are discussed. To improve this situation, direction is suggested toward a notion of water law that balances many possible uses for the water supply and recognizes the existance of hydro-ecology in a watershed.
