Abstract
The report presents the findings, conclusions and recommendations of the Comprehensive Solid Wastes Planning Study for Chautauqua County, New York. The scope of the study includes: Determination of the characteristics and quantities of wastes being produced in the study area in 1970 and the projection of future waste production: Determination of present collection and disposal practices and evaluation of all major collection systems and disposal operations; Development of alternative plans for hauling wastes from points of generation to disposal sites; Consideration of salvage, recycle, reuse, and size-reduction; Economics: Location of processing areas; and development of solid waste management practices.
