Abstract
In an effort to provide a state-of-the-science air quality modeling capability, U.S. EPA has developed a new comprehensive and flexible Models-3 Community Multi-scale Air Quality (CMAQ) modeling system. The authors demonstrate CMAQ simulations for a high ozone episode in the northeastern U.S. during 12-15 July 1995 and discuss meteorological issues important for modeling of urban air quality.
