Abstract

The design information report discusses the current problems and potential solutions associated with the selection, design, and operation of anaerobic digester mixing systems. The report describes the four major types of mixing systems and presents their advantages and disadvantages. The commonly used design parameters for mixing systems are discussed, and problems causes, and remedial measures in the areas of equipment, operation, and design considerations of mixing systems are presented.
