Abstract
This study was designed to assess the effects of diesel exhaust on the development of the nervous system in rats as measurably somatosensory and visual evoked potentials (SEPs an VEPs, respectively). SEPs, elicited by 1 mamp, 0.5 msec pulses delivered to the tibial nerve at the tibale, were recorded from the skull overlying the somatosensory projection area on days 28, 35, 42, and 49 postconception (pc).
