Abstract
The report gives results of a study involving data that can be used to evaluate pilot-plant operation of an NH3 scrubber with NH4HSO4 regeneration. It determined the density, pH, and composition of saturated (NH4)2SO4 solutions at 50, 65, and 80C; effects on density, pH, and composition of adding NH4HSO4 to the above solutions; and the solubility and stripping rates of SO2 in saturated solutions of (NH4)2SO4 containing NH4HSO4 at 65 and 80C.
