Sulfur content of crude oil reserves, production, and selected refined products are presented by geographical areas. Crude oil reserves (as of December 31, 1969) and 1969 production were classified by sulfur content as were refinery receipts. Quantity and sulfur content of stocks and shipments of selected refinery products was determined; also tabulated was sulfur content of stocks held at bulk terminal storage facilities. Domestic and foreign desulfurization operations were tabulated and technology discussed. Pertinent data for reserves, production, refineries, and bulk terminals were incorporated into a computerized national energy data bank.
