Abstract |
Fibers comprised of a blend of resin and a polymer which contains basic nitrogen groups were prepared and evaluated as sorbents for removing SO2 from waste gases. The effect of such variables as temperature, moisture, loading of sorbent, fiber denier, and SO2 concentration in the gas stream were studied. The chemistry and mechanism of the sorption and regeneration processes were elucidated. Preliminary economic and engineering analyses were performed. (Author) |
