| Abstract | The test material was placed into the conjunctival sac of one eye of each of six rabbits. Reactions were appraised with a slit lamp.after 1 and 6 hours; 1; 2; 3; 6; and 8 days according to the method in 'Appraisal of Safety of Chemicals in Foods, Drugs and Cosmetics,' 1959, of the AFDO. This study is being submitted based on findings of marked irritation of the test material when applied to the rabbit eye mucosa and the potential for human exposure that may have occurred. This material is no longer a commercial product. |
