Abstract
The decision document presents the Selected Remedy for the Old Works/East Anaconda Development Area (OW/EADA) operable unit (OU) of the Anaconda Smelter Site in Deer Lodge County, Montana. The OW/EADA OU is the third remedial action to be taken at the Anaconda Smelter site. The principal contaminant of concern at the OW/EADA and Mill Creek OUs is arsenic, which is contained in the larger quantities of milling and smelting wastes and in surficial soils from past aerial emissions. The ROD establishes action levels for arsenic at the OW/EADA OU.
