Abstract
This decision document presents the selected remedy for the Streamside Tailings Operable Unit (the SST OU) of the Silver Bow Creek/Butte Area National Priorities List (NPL) Site. This remedial action addresses the principal threats and provides for treatment and appropriate disposal of contaminated tailings/impacted soils, instream sediments, and railroad materials. Much of the treated materials will remain in the OU. The principal contaminants of concern at the SST OU are arsenic, cadmium, cooper, lead mercury, and zinc.
