The purpose of this guideline is to provide the Regional Offices of EPA with guidance on data auditing techniques that should be followed as part of the procedure for inputting air quality data into the National Aerometric Data Bank. In conjunction with this Guideline, the MDAD is also developing sophisticated data edit, validation and quality control programs which should help smooth the transition between current and planned Regional Office air quality data responsibilities. This report will serve on an interim basis until more explicit and detailed guidance is developed.
