Abstract | The paper discusses the direct toxicity of seven emulsifiers on several marine animals. The emulsifiers studied are the products designated E22, E30, E41, E46, E47, E52, and E53. The overall results appear to show that product E47 was the least toxic of the seven emulsifiers studied, despite the fact that the LD50 value was relatively low for Artemia salina, a crustacea. |
