Abstract | The objectives of the research were to study movement of trifluralin, DDT, toxaphene, and methyl parathion in surface runoff arising from natural rainfall in cotton fields sprayed with the four pesticides, to determine residues of the pesticides in soil at several times after application, to follow the level of contamination of a farm pond with the pesticides applied to cotton fields in a small watershed, and to determine if water in wells within fields treated with the pesticides became contaminated.
