Abstract
The report gives typical costs for electric power generating plants and their environmental controls for installations of 1000 and 5000 MWe capacity, including the expected range of uncertainty. Total annualized costs for a particular configuration can be computed by adding the appropriate incremental costs for fuel and environmental control equipment to the cost of the base generation system. Fixed charges are computed on the basis of 18% of the capital investment; cost data are corrected to mid-1975. Two examples of the use of the data are included. The data and method are intended to provide an overview. Actual installation costs may differ widely from those found from information in this report because of site-specific considerations.
