| Abstract |
The Federal solid wastes program was confronted with a lack of comprehensive information to define the solid waste problems of municipalities and industries in specific terms, and to assess the existing state of solid waste technology. The present study was performed to supply such information for the purpose of identifying areas requiring particular attention, and in order to draw some conclusions concerning the economics of solid waste management.
