Abstract
This report presents the results of an Economic Base Study of the Mobile-Alabama-Coosa (MAC) River Drainage Basins. One purpose of the study was to project the economic growth and development of the MAC Basin area to 1965, 1980, and 2015, for development plans of water and related land resources to meet emerging needs. Economic and demographic characteristics, growth rates, and trends are developed through time-series analyses and taken into account in projecting future growth and development patterns for use in planning activities.
