Abstract
The final link in RCRA's cradel-to-grave concept is the treatment, storage, and disposal facility (TSDF) that follows the generator and transporter in the chain of waste management activities. This training module presents an overview of the general TSDF standards found in 40 CFR Part 264/265, Subparts A through E. This module identifies and explains each exclusion from Part 264/265, and gives definitions of excluded units, such as 'wastewater treatment unit' and 'elementary neuralization unit'; locates and describes the requirements for waste analysis and personnel training; describes the purpose of a contingency plan and lists the emergency notification procedures; and describes manifest procedures and responsibilities, and lists the unmanifested waste reporting requirements.
