Abstract
The report presents an assessment of the effect of spills of certain hazardous materials on the operation of biological wastewater treatment plants. The results of the report may be used by treatment plant operators to assess what the effects of potential hazardous material spills might be on their plants. The report may be used by wastewater collection and treatment system managers as a pattern for the development of contingency plans and approaches to mitigate the adverse effects of hazardous material spills on the consistent and effective operation of their systems.
