Abstract | A methodology has been developed to use the advanced techniques of the Complex Terrain Dispersion Model in situations where on-site meteorological measurements are limited or unavailable. The approach, known as CTSCREEN, uses actual source and terrain characteristics to model plume impacts with an extensive array of predetermined meteorological conditions. CTSCREEN compares favorably with other complex terrain screening models (ones that require collection of on-site meteorological data) and is a great improvement over screening models that also use predetermined meteorology. |
