Abstract | The research objectives were to determine the feasibility of new method of solid waste disposal by making a comprehensive evaluation of the costs and benefits obtainable for the collection, transportation and disposal of solid wastes from urban areas by the use of rail-haul techniques. The report describes the Tezuka Refuse Compression System. It consists basically of three major system building blocks: The preliminary compression system; The main compression system; and Equipment to add additional cover material such as asphalt or cement to the bales previously compressed within an enclosure such as chicken wire mesh. |
