Abstract
Hazardous waste management and off-site disposal can be challenging and expensive for small businesses. But not all hazardous waste must be shipped off site for treatment or disposal. The EPA has identified a number of allowable ways that small businesses can minimize their hazardous waste on site. This document provides information on five of these methods. They are: Domestic Sewage Exclusion; Elementary Neutralization; Recycling; Treatment in Accumulation Containers; and Burning in Small Boilers and Industrial Furnaces.
