Abstract

DECAL is a simple model for predicting particle deposition and accumulation of organic material in sediments near municipal ocean outfalls. The model has been formulated on the basis of coastal transport, particle transport, organic carbon cycles, and includes the effects of coagulation and settling of effluent particles and natural organic material.
