Abstract |
The status of EPA's Synthetic Fuels from Coal Program as of July 1977 is presented. Processes with emphasis on environmental considerations are also described. This program is a part of EPA's interagency energy-related environmental research program directed toward providing the necessary technology for meeting near-term and long-term energy requirements in an environmentally acceptable manner. The objective of the program is to assess the environmental impacts from processes for producing synthetic fuels from coal, and develop appropriate pollution-control technology. |
