This report serves as a background document for the 'Clean Water and the American Economy Conference'. The object of the conference is to address the importance of clean water resources to the United States economy, and to explore how the Clean Water Act might be amended to promote economic growth while protecting these vital resources. This report is intended to provide conference participants with basic information on water usage in the U.S., and on the role clean water plays in the American economy. |
