Abstract
Section 313 of the Clean Air Act requires the Administrator of EPA to report yearly on measures taken toward implementing the purpose and intent of the Act. This report covers the period January 1 to December 31, 1976, and describes the issues involved in the prevention and control of air pollution and the major elements of progress toward that goal that have been made by EPA since the last report. In addition, for the first time, two other EPA reports to Congress required by the Clean Air Act as amended have been included: (1) Section 202 report on measures taken in relation to motor vehicle emission control (Chapter VII); and (2) Section 306 (e) report on Federal procurement and violating facilities (in Chapter IX).
