The Environmental Protection Agency, Region VIII conducted an intensive field investigation of the Clark Fork River in the vicinity of Missoula, Montana during the period July 23 - August 3, 1973. The water quality and biological study of the 79 km (49 mile) reach of the river from Missoula downstream to Alberton, Montana was made to determine effects of seepage and/or discharges from the Hoerner Waldorf paper mill ponds.
