On behalf on E.I. du Pont de Nemours and Company (DuPont), this writer is pleased to submit the enclosed health and safety studies under the Toxic Substances Control Act Section 8 (d), 15 U.S.C. 2607 (d), and the regulation published at 47 Federal Register 38780 (1982). This submission supplements Du Pont's December 3, 1982 submission for chemical substances listed in the above Federal Register notice. The determination of reportability was made after Du Pont consulted with and received guidance from the Agency. Moreover, Du Pont notes that certain portions of the enclosed studies contain confidential business information for which Du Pont asserts a claim of business confidentiality under 40 CFR 2.201 et seq. As required by 40 CFR 716.16, Du Pont has submitted both confidential and public copies of each health and safety study.
