Abstract | This report summarizes significant data obtained after 59 weeks of a projected lifetime mouse skin-painting study instituted to assay the carcinogenic potential of products produced from the oxidative condensation of an intermediate clarified oil solvent extract (CAS Registry No. 64741-62-4). The results obtained support the conclusion that at high dose levels when all or a portion of the test materials are made bioavailable via salvation in toluene, skin tumors are induced. The bioavailability of the solid test materials via solvation in normal body fluids (e.g. sweat, saliva, gastro-intestinal fluids, etc.) was not addressed in this study. |
