Abstract
The report summarizes the results of a continuing effort to better understand the dispersion and transport of particulate matter released within surface coal mines. The report examines the relationship between critical meteorological parameters in an effort to refine an existing model algorithm to determine escape fraction. Methods to incorporate calculating particulate matter escape fraction into a regulatory air quality model are proposed and FORTRAN program listings of four alternatives are included.
