Abstract
The fact sheet summarizes the information in the RED document for reregistration case 3138, furanone. Dihydro-5-pentyl-2(3H)-furanone and dihydro-5-heptyl-2(3H)-furanone (also known as gamma-nonalactone and gamma-undeccalactone, respectively) are also referred to by the common name furanone. Products containing furanones are registered for use as insecticides, insect and mammal repellents, and mosquito larvicides.
