Abstract
Propasol B (CAS No. 5131-66-8) was evaluated for subchronic toxicity. The test substance was administered to rats (5/sex/group) by inhalation at concentrations of 0, 50, 200, and 700 ppm for 6 hours a day for 2 weeks for a total of 9 exposures. There were no differences of treated rats as compared to controls in body weight, clinical chemistry, hematology, urinalysis, clinical observations, or gross and histopathology. There was a slight increase in relative liver weight in rats of the 700 ppm group, but this was not considered to be of toxicological significance and the NOEL in this study is 700 ppm.
