Abstract
It is clear from provisions of the various environmental protection laws enacted during the past several years that environmental expenditures by businesses can be significant. It is for this reason that EPA has endeavored to publish a summary brochure outlining the various federal financing programs to help alleviate such impact, particularly on the smaller businesses. It is also the intent of the brochure to call attention to the various tax provisions in the Internal Revenue Code related to pollution control expenditures. This pamphlet merely discusses the legal aspects in general terms.
