| Abstract |
Background information is presented on the borax and boric acid industry for the purpose of determining the need for a new source performance standard (NSPS). The industry is surveyed and categorized by plant, process, and other factors. Information is presented on the processes, emissions, and air pollution control equipment. State and local regulations are summarized. The impact of a potential NSPS on particulate emissions is discussed. |
