Abstract
The chapter describes in detail the collection of interstitial and seminiferous tubule fluid from the rat testis. The collection and analysis of fluid from the interstitial spaces and the tubular compartment is a means of measuring changes in the testicular hormonal environment. It also provides a means of assessing the volume of extracellular extratubular fluid. Changes in the hormonal milieu and the volume of the fluid can provide an index of physiological alterations within the testis.
