Abstract
The purpose of this study was to determine the teratogenic potential of vinylidene chloride inhaled by rats and mice during organogenesis. This report describes the effects of vinylidene chloride (inhaled at various concentrations for different intervals during gestation) on development. Morphological and behavioral parameters were used to monitor development. Vinylidene chloride was judged to be a weak teratogen with little primary effect on reproduction.
