| Abstract | The Institute of Water Resources at The University of Connecticut has as its prime objective the encouragement, conduct, and coordination of research into the many aspects of water. The institute has administered 50 projects, of which 29 currently are active. In addition to the traditional water research disciplines of agriculture, biology, engineering, and geology, studies have been carried out in the legal, sociologic, economic, and political aspects of water resources use and management. The research is summarized. It concerns the following topics: Water quality and management; Water resources planning and engineering; and Water characteristics and water cycle. |
