| Abstract | The purpose of this survey was to determine the concentration and distribution of coliform bacteria present in Flathead Lake, Montana, during a heavy use period as compared with the applicable state water quality standards. The study was undertaken during the summer of 1968 and consisted chiefly of a sampling and analytical program designed to permit a bacteriological evaluation of Flathead Lake water quality during periods of peak water use.
