Abstract
The revised air quality criteria document for oxides of nitrogen (NOx) reviews and evaluates the scientific information on the health and welfare effects associated with exposure to concentrations of NO2 found in ambient air. Although the document is not intended to be an exhaustive literature review, it is intended to cover all the pertinent literature through early 1991. The set consists of 16 chapters which are divided into three volumes. The third volume contains chapters 13-16. The volume evaluates information concerning the health effects of NO2. Contents include: Studies of the effects of nitrogen compounds on animals; Epidemiology studies of oxides of nitrogen; Controlled human exposure studies of oxides of nitrogen; Health effects associated with exposure to nitrogen dioxide; and a Glossary of terms and symbols.
