This Integrated Outpatient Code Editor (IOCE) Pilot software contains ICD-9-CM diagnosis codes effective 4/1/2007 through 9/30/2014 and ICD-10-CM diagnosis codes published from December 2011 through July 2013 with an effective date of 10/1/2014. This software is intended to provide users with the opportunity to test outpatient claims using both ICD-9-CM codes and ICD-10-CM codes as determined by the Claim From Date. It is not intended to be used to process claims using ICD-10-CM codes, as the ICD-10-CM code set will not be mandated for use until the implementation date of October 1, 2014. This piloted version 15.0 of the IOCE accepts ICD-9-CM diagnosis codes for all the included versions of the IOCE; ICD-10-CM codes can be used only on test claims with dates of service on or after 10/1/2014. Test claims with From Dates prior to 10/1/2014, which include ICD-10-CM diagnosis codes, will return the 'invalid diagnosis code' edit.
