Abstract
This document is a technical background document for proposed regulations to limit effluent discharges to waters of the United States and introductions of pollutants into publicly owned treatment works from facilities engaged in porcelain enameling. The purpose of this proposal is to provide effluent limitation guidelines for 'best practicable technology,' 'best available technology,' and 'best conventional technology,' and to establish new source performance standards and pretreatment standards under the Clean Water Act.
