Abstract | The carcinogenic activity of soot and other atmospheric contaminants in biologicals test was greater in direct proportion to the content in them of 3,4-benzpyrene. The question arose as to how shale soot or its extract of tarry substances induces tumors in the lungs. Experimental tests in mice and rats were conducted to study this problem. The report summarizes and discusses the implications for the etiology of lung cancer. |
