Abstract
The investigation on which this report is based was conducted for the purpose of advising the Bureau of Reclamation on the need for and value of storage in Bumping Lake Enlargement, Yakima River Basin, for water quality control. To accomplish this, all available data on water uses, waste sources, and water quality were examined, evaluated, and projected. Field data collected by the Public Health Service and Washington State Pollution Control Commission in 1961 and 1962 aided the evaluations. The area covered in the report included all of the Yakima River Basin drainage and is defined demographically by areas within Benton, Kittitas, and Yakima Counties.
