Abstract |
The report presents the results from the second phase of the Rolling Resistance Test Program. The second phase of the program was to determine the rolling resistance of two groups of tires: (1) those tires thought to have low rolling resistance and therefore be fuel efficient, and (2) high performance tires. Tests were performed to learn of tires advertised as fuel efficient had lower rolling resistance than the high sales tires sampled during the first phase, and to determine if the high performance tires had higher rolling resistance than regular-performance automobile tires. |
