| Abstract | The 81-acre Wrigley Charcoal site is a former multi-use industrial operations area in the town of Wrigley, Hickman County, Tennessee. Land use in the area is industrial and residential, Improper disposal procedures have resulted in soil, sediment, and debris contamination by semi-volatile organic compounds in coal-tars (mainly PAHs and phenols), VOCs, metals, and asbestos. The Record of Decision (ROD) addresses interim remediation of remaining contaminated soil, sediment, and debris. The selected remedial action for the site includes excavating, stabilizing, and disposing of offsite approximately 15 cubic yards of metallic wastes from the burn pit; consolidating and securing onsite approximately 120 drums of transformers; excavating, incinerating, stabilizing, and disposing of offsite 14 waste drums. |
