Abstract
This test was run on two groups of albino rats, five males and five females per group. One group was exposed to 9700 ppm for four hours; the other was exposed to 14,100 ppm for four hours. There were no mortalities in the 9700 ppm group. Three animals died in the 14,100 ppm group. Ataxia, dyspnea, excessive weakness, nasal and/or ocular discharge was noted during the postexposure period. The predominant finding at necropsy was the presence of red foci on the lungs. The four-hour inhalation LC, for G-TBA is in excess of 9700 ppm.
