Abstract |
The report reviews the state-of-the-art of the chemical, biological, mechanical, and integrated control of aquatic weeds. Participants discuss problems in the field of aquatic weed control and the role of EPA in working toward their solution. Guidelines are proposed for the evaluation of research proposals designed to develop environmentally safe methods for the control of aquatic weeds. The use of chemicals is proposed as part of an integrated scheme developed for specific areas on the basis of local conditions. |
