Abstract
FY1992 was a very successful year for both the Environmental Protection Agency and State enforcement programs. EPA and the States maintained high aggregate levels of judicial and administrative enforcement activity, and new records for Federal civil and criminal penalties and fines were established. At the same time, EPA continued to fully implement the targeted enforcement approaches that are called for in its Enforcement Four-Year Strategic Plan.
