Abstract |
The U.S. Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) created the Environmental Technology Verification Program (ETV) to facilitate the deployment of innovative or improved environmental technologies through performance verification and dissemination of information. The goal of the ETV Program is to further environmental protection by substantially accelerating the acceptance and use of improved and cost-effective technologies. The verification of a field analytical technology for measurement of lead in dust wipe samples is described in this report. The performance of the Palintest's Scanning Analyzer SA-5000 system was determined under field conditions. The technology was evaluated by comparing its results to estimated concentration values and with results obtained on similar samples using a recognized laboratory analytical method. |
